There are many technical routes for Automotive lidar in terms of ranging principle, laser emission, laser reception, beam manipulation and information processing. Compared with other routes, Leishen Intelligence finally chose the rotating mirror hybrid solid state solution due to its higher durability and maturity of the technology.
In terms of performance, the transmitting and receiving systems of hybrid solid state technology are in a fixed state, and the laser scanning angle can be adjusted by rotating a special prism, which has stronger reliability in resisting the shock and vibration of the vehicle environment. Secondly, the rotating prism hybrid solid state lidar has a cost advantage. It does not need to rotate the laser transmitter and receiver through a mechanical structure to perform 360-degree scanning. It is small in size and can be directly installed in the car, saving space.
